About Us
A Kingdom for Literary Creativity.
Litdom is a growing creative space built around one simple belief: writers deserve a place where their creativity can be expressed, developed, shared and given room to grow.
Where It Began
Litdom began as an idea during a school project about what wonderful things Africans could build. The idea was accepted as a project, but the project itself was never the whole reason Litdom existed.
The deeper idea was much bigger: to create a writing and creative space that felt different from simply uploading a book and walking away.
We believe writers and readers should be able to feel that there is a community behind the platform — a place that cares about creativity, improvement, discovery and the people creating and enjoying the work.
“We have dreams, but we don't always have the resources.”
Litdom exists because we believe a lack of resources should not have to mean a lack of opportunity.
Why “Literature Kingdom”?
Literature, to us, is more than one kind of book. It is the written expression of ideas, imagination, knowledge, emotion and creativity.
That is why Litdom was not created as simply a novel platform. It is not meant to belong to one genre, one writing style or one kind of writer.
Litdom means a kingdom for literary creativity.
Fiction and nonfiction are only the beginning. Our larger vision is to create a world where different forms of writing and creativity can have their own place.
For Writers
Litdom is a place to publish, learn, improve, build an audience, discover opportunities and grow.
Express
Bring your ideas to life without being forced into whatever genre happens to be trending.
Learn
Develop your writing through accessible learning and practical resources designed to help writers improve.
Grow
Build your audience, improve your craft and continue developing as a writer.
Earn
Litdom's vision includes a progression-based earning system where performance, consistency and long-term contribution can create opportunities for greater rewards.
For Readers
Reading should not feel unnecessarily complicated.
We want readers to be able to discover a story they love, pick it up, settle in and simply read — without feeling that every part of the experience is working against them.
Accessibility matters to us too. We want literature to remain within reach of people who may not have unlimited resources, while continuing to explore better ways of making reading convenient and enjoyable.
Fiction. Nonfiction. And More to Come.
Litdom currently brings together fiction and nonfiction because literature should have room for both imagination and knowledge.
Fiction can transport you somewhere you've never been. Nonfiction can teach you something you never knew. Both deserve a place in the same kingdom.
We are also interested in making nonfiction more accessible through formats such as serialized reading, allowing readers to progress through larger works one chapter at a time.
In the long term, fiction and nonfiction are only the first territories of a much larger creative vision.
Writers' Academy
A talented writer should not have to stop learning simply because learning is expensive.
That belief is one of the reasons Litdom's Writers' Academy exists. The Academy is designed to provide writers with practical knowledge about writing, structure, chapter development, execution and the skills needed to turn ideas into complete works.
Serialized-fiction training is intended to remain freely accessible. Other educational programs may be introduced as Litdom grows.
We Make Room for Ideas
We do not believe a story should be rejected simply because it is not currently the popular genre.
A science-fiction writer should be allowed to write science fiction. A literary writer should be allowed to write literary fiction. A writer with an unusual idea should be allowed to explore it.
At the same time, creative freedom does not mean abandoning quality.
Our approach to editing is about helping writers execute their ideas well — from structure and pacing to clarity, continuity, development and the overall expression of the work.
The goal is not to make every writer sound the same. The goal is to help each writer express their own idea better.
Our Approach to AI
Litdom does not allow completely AI-generated works to be presented as if they were the writer's own creative work.
We do, however, recognize that AI can be a useful creative tool.
Our philosophy is simple: we want writing directors.
A writer may use AI to assist with parts of the creative process, but the human writer should remain responsible for the direction, creative decisions, voice, emotion and execution of the work. Appropriate AI assistance should also be disclosed where required.
Rooted in Africa, Open to the World
Africa matters deeply to Litdom.
We know that there are talented people with enormous creative dreams who do not always have the resources, visibility or opportunities they need to pursue them.
Litdom is being built with those realities in mind.
But Litdom is not closed to the rest of the world. Our kingdom is open to writers and readers everywhere.
A Place to Keep Growing
We want writing on Litdom to feel like a journey.
Our long-term vision includes a progression system where writers can develop through different stages and levels, giving them meaningful goals to work toward.
Consistency
Keep creating. Keep learning. Keep showing up.
Growth
Improve your craft and progress through the Litdom journey.
Achievement
Reach higher stages and open the door to greater opportunities.
A successful book can progress based on its own performance. A writer's broader journey can also progress through consistency, longevity and contribution. These are connected, but they are not the same thing.
Not Just a Website
We want Litdom to feel like a community.
In our imagination, Litdom is not simply a website with shelves of books. It is a kingdom — with houses, rooms, places, communities and creative territories where different forms of writing can exist.
Fiction can have its own territories. Nonfiction can have its own territories. Different genres can have their own spaces. And one day, other forms of creativity may find their place too.
We are building a place where creativity can feel like a world of its own.
Behind Litdom
Behind Litdom is a writer, student and lifelong lover of creativity who has always been drawn to different forms of expression.
Writing has been part of the journey from childhood — alongside other creative interests such as drawing, singing and working with plants.
Litdom grew from that same curiosity: the belief that creativity does not have to fit inside one box.
What began as an idea has become a growing attempt to build the kind of creative space that many writers dream of finding.
Where We're Going
Litdom is still growing.
What exists today is only the beginning of the larger vision.
We want to build something worthy of people writing in — something that feels bigger than “submit your story and disappear.”
We want ideas to have somewhere to belong. A house. A room. A town. A country. A continent. Perhaps, eventually, an entire world.
The shape of that future will grow with the people who become part of Litdom.
Every Writer Has a Place.
I want Litdom to be a place where writers can express their creativity in every and any form possible.
